Our standards

Editorial Policy

Our first obligation is to answer the reader’s question accurately, clearly and without pretending to have evidence we do not possess.

Useful without a purchase

Every guide should continue to solve a real problem even if the reader never clicks an affiliate link. Commercial relationships may support the publication; they do not create the reason for a page to exist.

Claims and evidence

Sources

We prioritize current primary sources for technical claims, including official standards, government safety guidance, manufacturer instructions and current retailer information for market observations. Secondary sources may provide context and are evaluated for fit and transparency.

Corrections

Material errors should be corrected promptly. When a correction changes the conclusion, price basis or safety meaning of a guide, the revision date and affected information should be made clear.

AI assistance

AI tools may assist research organization, drafting, editing or technical production. They do not supply fictional experience, certify accuracy or replace source verification and editorial review.

Commercial rule: no product receives a strong recommendation merely because an affiliate relationship is available.
